MRes Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
Bioinformatics is an exciting new area which aims to use biological information to discover new biology and make predictions that can be tested by experiment. The MRes in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology is a one-year, full-time course leading to a Masters degree by research. The course is suitable for graduates in any scientific discipline, including biological sciences, mathematics and computer science, and offers different initial modules depending on the knowledge base of the student. A strong emphasis is placed on a single main research project which should show the potential for publication in peer reviewed journals.
